Der Wadenbeinschaft (lat. Corpus fibulae) weist einen dreieckigen Querschnitt auf und besitzt damit auch drei Seitenflächen. Allerdings sind am Corpus fibulae bis zu vier Kanten zu finden. Die Außenfläche (Facies lateralis) wird durch die stark ausgeprägte, nach vorne zeigende Margo anterior von der Innenfläche (Facies medialis) getrennt. Die Margo interosseus stellt die Grenze zwischen Innenfläche und Rückfläche (Facies posterior) dar. Auf der anderen Seite wird die Rückfläche durch die Margo posterior von der Außenfläche getrennt.
